Becoming a certified I•D Pilates instructor will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to teach effective Pilates classes with special attention to alignment, form, and movement variety. The IDP teacher training uniquely combines a Classical Pilates base with a contemporary approach to biomechanics and preparing the body to progress through the method. With our training you gain the ability to utilize the Pilates Method to improve posture and alignment, increase joint mobility, build strength, and promote overall health of mind + body. The I•D Pilates Teacher Training teaches you:
- Anatomy and body mechanics
- Principles of Pilates
- Postural assessment and how to address misalignments
- How to analyze and identify faulty movement patterns
- How to work with special populations
- Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Classical Pilates Repertoire
- Contemporary Pilates exercises including fundamental movements and therapeutic exercises
- Building blocks of each exercise and how to modify exercises to meet the needs of each individual
- How to create personalized Pilates sessions based on individual needs
- Efficient cueing techniques
- How to develop effective group classes
- How to help clients restore their alignment and ability to move their bodies freely and without pain

Teachers who have already completed a training at IDP or elsewhere are welcome to audit any module at a reduced rate of 30% of the price of the selected module. Contact us for more information on auditing.
