The ID Pilates Apprenticeship Program provides aspiring and newly trained Pilates instructors with hands-on experience, mentorship, and guided teaching practice in a professional studio environment. Apprentices build confidence and strengthen their teaching skills through observation, self-practice, practice teaching, feedback, and real-world studio experience. The program is designed to help bridge the gap between teacher training and confident, independent teaching.

    Your mentor will provide ongoing feedback and assess your development throughout the program.

  • Demonstrate Competency

    Progress toward independent teaching by demonstrating the skills and professional standards expected of an ID Pilates instructor.

No. You may apply whether you are already certified, currently completing your certification requirements, or earlier in your teacher training. Your starting point in the apprenticeship will be based on your previous training, experience, and demonstrated competencies.

No. The Apprenticeship Program is open to instructors and trainees from other Pilates teacher training programs. We’ll review your previous education and experience as part of the application and evaluation process.

No. Comprehensive certification is not required. Your apprenticeship experience will be tailored to your current training and the equipment and repertoire you are qualified to teach.

Potentially. Observation, self-practice, and practice teaching completed through the apprenticeship may qualify toward your teacher training hours depending on the requirements of your certification program. Apprentices are responsible for confirming hour requirements with their teacher training provider.

Mentors are assigned based on factors such as your training background, goals, availability, and the needs of the program. Your mentor will provide guidance, feedback, and opportunities to progressively develop your teaching skills.

Yes, but apprentices need enough availability to consistently participate in observation, mentorship, practice teaching, and other program requirements. We’ll discuss your availability during the application process to determine whether the program is a good fit.

No. Completion of the Apprenticeship Program does not guarantee employment with ID Pilates. Apprentices interested in teaching at ID Pilates may be considered for available opportunities based on demonstrated competency, professionalism, studio needs, and position availability.

That’s okay! Progress through the apprenticeship is based on demonstrated readiness rather than completing a specific number of hours alone. Your mentor will provide feedback and help identify the skills or experience you should continue developing before your next evaluation.

The Apprenticeship Program takes place within the ID Pilates studios, giving apprentices the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a real studio environment alongside experienced instructors and clients.
